Will Smith and Martin Lawrence feature in the 2024 American buddy police action-comedy Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Directed by Adil & Bilall and written by Chris Bremner and Will Beall, it is the fourth episode of the Bad Boys film series and the follow-up to Bad Boys for Life (2020). Returning from earlier episodes are Joe Pantoliano, Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, Jacob Scipio, John Salley, and DJ Khaled. Theresa Randle, who portrayed Theresa Burnett in the previous three movies, is replaced by Tasha Smith. The plot centers on Miami cops Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey as they work to clear the name of their late Captain Conrad Howard after he is wrongfully charged with conspiracy.[5][6]

After Bad Boys for Life's first weekend at the box office, Sony announced plans for a fourth Bad Boys movie, with Bremner returning to write the script. However, the incident involving Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards ceremony and the investigation that followed reportedly put a stop to the film's production in April 2022. The movie was eventually revealed to be in pre-production in February 2023, with main filming starting in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 3, 2023, and concluding on March 4, 2024.

On May 22, 2024, Bad Boys: Ride or Die made its debut in Dubai's Coca-Cola Arena. On June 7, Sony Pictures Releasing, via its Columbia Pictures banner, released the film in the United States. Despite having a $100 million production budget, the movie made $404.2 million worldwide and had a mixed critical reception.
